Spark is an off-the-grid solar systems energy provider. It focuses on African homes and villages and offers a modular, expandable and future proof solution.

Initially named RuralSpark, the business was starting to grow its initial focus on the rural communities, and while that was still the focus of its business, it was ready for the next step. The new Spark brand aimed toward a visual identity that reflected its growing ambitions to provide future-proof energy systems to emerging markets.

The identity starts from the idea of energy flow and how that has the strength to empower communities through sharing.



The concept is built on the idea that the identity would live mostly offline, where it had to be seen and recognized. This is how the minimal, but iconic visual language took shape, along with the bold colors, that allow Spark to be always recognized.
